Victoria Scott-Lang

Consultant Dermatologist

Dr Victoria is an experienced British Consultant Dermatologist.

She moved to Dubai in 2019 with her husband Grant, a doctor, and their three young sons. Victoria quickly established herself as a popular and in-demand dermatologist in the UAE, known for her expertise, commitment to her patients and warm personality.

Dr Victoria graduated from the University of Aberdeen Medical School in 2003. She initially worked in internal medicine and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2006. She then undertook further training and became board-certified as a Consultant in Family Medicine (MRCGP) in 2009. Following this, she completed competitive dermatology registrar training in the NHS in Edinburgh in 2014, gaining CCST and entering the UK specialist register. She then moved to New Zealand to work as a consultant dermatologist in a large public hospital and private practice for five years. During this time she was Head of Dermatology at Christchurch Hospital, the tertiary referral centre for the South Island of New Zealand, treating adults and children with the most severe skin conditions imaginable. Given the very high skin cancer rates in Australasia, she became an expert in recognising and treating all types of pre-cancerous lesions and skin cancers, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and malignant melanoma, and is very familiar with assessing sun-damaged skin. While in New Zealand, she became a Trustee of the world-famous and highly-respected dermatology organisation DermNet NZ. She was also the treasurer of the New Zealand Dermatological Society.

Dr Victoria treats the full spectrum of dermatological diseases and has particular expertise in skin cancer screening and treatment, severe acne, biologic therapies for severe atopic dermatitis and psoriasis, and all types of hair loss, including androgenetic alopecia. She is also interested in paediatric dermatology and works closely with paediatric consultant colleagues for complex cases including vascular anomalies. She also specialises in aesthetics and lasers: her philosophy is to keep the skin in as good condition as possible and to use appropriate and minimal injectables for a natural look.

Dr Victoria’s rigorous training, expertise, and passion for her job mean she is highly skilled in treating the most severe skin diseases and the more common conditions experienced by babies, children and adults alike.

Dr Victoria believes in patient-centred care and is committed to providing excellence for all of her patients.
