Dr Salma Ballal is trained as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the British National Health Service (NHS). Dr Salma developed a particular interest in maternal medicine, high-risk pregnancies and labour care and has completed the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist advanced training modules in maternal medicine and advanced labour ward practice.

A great believer in normality in labour and that women should be kept fully informed throughout every step of what is the most amazing experience in any woman’s life – becoming a mother.

Dr Salma has delivered well over one thousand women, managed all types of birth from a normal delivery, vaginal birth after previous caesarean section, instrumental deliveries and caesarean sections. She offers pre-pregnancy counselling for women with pre-existing medical problems and those who have experienced difficulties in previous pregnancies, recurrent miscarriage or traumatic birth experience.

Complimentary to her Obstetric experience, she can manage a wide range of gynaecological conditions such as menstrual disturbances, menopause disorders, sexual dysfunction, vaginal rejuvenation, family planning and cervical pathology screening.
