Dr Victoria is a British Consultant Dermatologist and is delighted to have joined Dr. George and the team at Genesis.
She moved to Dubai in 2019 with her husband Grant, also a doctor, and their two young sons. Victoria has quickly established herself as a popular and in-demand dermatologist in the UAE, known for her expertise, commitment to her patients and warm personality.
Victoria graduated from the University of Aberdeen Medical School in 2003. She initially worked in internal medicine and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2006. She then undertook further training and became board-certified as a Consultant in Family Medicine (MRCGP) in 2009. Following this she completed competitive dermatology registrar training in the NHS in Edinburgh in 2014, gaining CCST and entering into the UK specialist register. She then moved to New Zealand to work as a consultant dermatologist in both a large public hospital and private practice for five years. During this time she was Head of Dermatology at Christchurch Hospital, the tertiary referral centre for the South Island of New Zealand, treating adults and children with the most severe skin conditions imaginable. Given the very high skin cancer rates in Australasia, she became expert in recognising and treating all types of pre-cancerous lesions and skin cancers, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and malignant melanoma, and is very familiar with assessing sun-damaged skin. During her time in New Zealand, she also became a Trustee of the world-famous and highly-respected dermatology organisation DermNet NZ. She was also the treasurer of the New Zealand Dermatological Society.
Dr Victoria treats the full spectrum of dermatological diseases and has particular expertise in skin cancer screening and treatment; severe acne; biologic therapies for severe atopic dermatitis and psoriasis; and all types of hair loss, including androgenetic alopecia. She is also interested in paediatric dermatology and works closely with paediatric consultant colleagues for complex cases including vascular anomalies.
Dr Victoria’s rigorous training combined with her expertise and passion for her job means that she is highly skilled in treating the most severe skin diseases and the more common conditions experienced by babies, children and adults alike.
Dr Victoria believes in patient-centred care and is committed to providing excellence for all of her patients.
