Cassie brings over 23 years of experience as an Advanced Wound and Stoma Care specialist, with a distinguished career spanning Australia, the UK, and the UAE. As a Senior Burns Specialist Nurse from Australia, she was a key member of the Royal Adelaide Hospital Burns Assessment Team. She holds a Masters in Nursing Science and Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing Science (Burns Nursing) from Adelaide University Australia, and Post Graduate Certificate in Advance Stoma Care from the University of East Anglia UK. Cassie is also certified as an Advanced Wound Professional from Wounds Australia.
Cassie has pioneered the region’s largest nurse-led wound and stoma care service in the UAE, earning numerous accolades, including recognition as the World Union of Wound Healing UAE Local Wound Clinical Wound Centre of Excellence. Her career is decorated with awards such as the Journal of Wound Care Bronze Award for Excellence in Wound Care and the Dubai ‘Champion Nurse Award’. Cassie also serves as the Chair of the Stoma Care Program for the Emirates Society of Colon & Rectal Surgery and is a member of the EPUAP Pressure Injury Expert Panel Group.
