Dr Taohid Oshodi embarked on his surgical career as a Surgical Tutor within the Department of Anatomy at the University of Leicester. Subsequently, he underwent an intensive four-year general surgical training at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, followed by specialized vascular training within the Northwest of England Vascular Surgery Training Program. His vascular training encompassed various esteemed institutions, including The Royal Oldham Hospital, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay, University Hospital of South Manchester, North Manchester General Hospital, and Manchester Royal Infirmary. Dr. Oshodi holds a Master’s in Health Care Ethics and Law from The University of Manchester.
In 2000, Dr Oshodi assumed the role of Consultant Vascular Surgeon at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, dedicating 15 years to the regional high-volume vascular unit. During his tenure, he served as the Clinical Lead for Vascular Surgery for six years and was pivotal in advancing endovascular treatments for aortic and venous diseases. Additionally, he served as the Northwest of England lead for the higher vascular surgery training curriculum. Dr Oshodi’s professional journey led him to Dubai in 2014, where he assumed the position of Vascular Head of the Department at Mediclinic City Hospital and Mediclinic Dubai Mall Clinic. Concurrently, he holds an Adjunct Professor of Surgery position at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Oshodi boasts numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and has garnered multiple awards for his unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality vascular services.
